I have been ill for a week for now. Not nice.
Doing a slide show for Holiday Fair makes my mouth watering. I found so beautiful pictures of Greece that make me dream visiting it. I want to visit all of the world anyway. One country that never hasn't attracted me so much as other people, who i know, is the States. Of course i want to visit that, but not as much as many others. Many people dream going there.
If you want to know which countries i have visited so far , so here they are:
Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Sweden, Russia (St. Petersburg) , Morocco, Egypt, France, Italy, China (Beijing), Germany, United Kingdom and now the Netherlands. Some of them i have been in twice or more. Of course the neighbors are easy and cheaper to visit.
Some people have asked that which country i liked the best. I really don't know , because they are all different, but for a vacation i prefer places with a warmer climate still.
So about Greece. A picture of one luxury hotel:
How nice would it be to wake up in the morning and eat breakfast there and then dip yourself in the pool.
Wonderful.
A fact : Greeks do not wave with an open hand. In fact, it is considered an insult to show the palm of he hand with the fingers extended. Greeks wave with the palm closed.
Actually i can't imagine how a wave with a closed palm looks like. Okay i can, but it seems really weird. You are waving your fist ? That shows anger in my culture. But cultures are so different and while travelling you can cause trouble instead when you actually had good intentions.
For a white English man showing a sing that constitutes a round using your thumb and index finger means it's OK, but when you will show this in Malta or Greece this means a sexual insult.
Thumb up sign in Greece or Macedonia means "get lost" instead of "it's good". In African countries you could get beaten up when showing thumbs up because it is an obscene insult there.
One hotel that i would like to visit is in Singapore. The rooftop pool. This is just amazing like swimming in the sky.
I don't understand people who don't want to travel or visit only one certain place in the world yearly. I know people are different so are the types of tourist different, but it is hard to understand why aren't some people interested experiencing new things or seeing something new for a while. When i worked in Italy, so many Dutch people have been visiting the same camping since 19..., well uncountable years. They say it is had become a second home. That i understand, but for once something else would be nice to experience or not?
